Presbyopia

For a presbyopic eye, the lens loses its accommodative power and flexibility with age. Near vision becomes uncomfortable and difficult around the age of 43. Presbyopia is independent of other optical defects. The SupraCor technique allows the treatment of presbyopia mainly in hypermetropic patients.

The laser operation:

Laser surgery for presbyopia consists of slightly changing the curvature of the cornea to make it multifocal. The surgical technique for presbyopia is Femtosecond Lasik and in some cases Transepithelial Refractive Photokeratectomy (TransPRK).

The surgical technique will be discussed with your surgeon and according to the structure of your cornea during the pre-operative test.
